Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
2 Timothy 4:2
Rev. Pastor Jeffrey Withers
I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior at the age of 10 during a spring revival. Three months later, I preached my first sermon during a children’s day worship service. I felt the call to the ministry at age 15. But I fought that call for two years. Then one night, I couldn’t fight anymore. I got on my knees and prayed to God, submitting to His will and I adjusted my classes to prepare for ministry.
During the time I attended college and seminary, I have volunteered and served at two different churches because I have a passion for shepherding and discipling fellow brothers and sisters in Christ and helping them grow in their relationship with God. Through the one year and three-month period where I served as an intern at two different churches, it has strengthened and confirmed my calling to be a minister of the gospel.
I have learned a lot by serving a small country church in Boydton, Virginia and feel like that God has given me great training in being the best servant I can be for Him.
